Performing Arts

Students Performing

Many classes and lessons are offered to those students who wish to take part in the performing arts. There are lessons offered in:

-          Guitar

-          Vocal music

-          Dance

-          Drums

-          Veda

-          Bhagawad Gita

In addition to taking lessons, all students are encouraged to perform and display their talents at the regular evening satsangs and/or in the various school assemblies.

Visual Arts

Students of the SushilHari International Residential School take part in many arts and crafts exhebitions and competitions in addition to the pieces they make for the school in order to express themselves through mediums other than the school’s curriculum. They have done projects such as:

-          Painting the pathways of the campus with various things such as science related graphs and diagrams or the entire Ramayana story as a comic strip.

-          Creating a robot Ganapathy and Nandi out of recycled computer parts.

-          Decorating the campus by crafting sculptures using recyclable material such as plastic bottles and newspapers.

-          Carving art pieces out of vegetables and fruits

Sports

There are many playgrounds and courts where the students can take part in learning as well as playing different sports. There are: tennis courts, swimming pools, badminton courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, cricket fields, exercise bars, and fully equipped gyms. In addition there are indoor facilities available such as billiards, chess, table tennis, weight training, reiki and yoga. For the younger children there are also kid friendly playgrounds complete with slides, swings and every other imaginable piece
